Move over, Gordon Ramsay! Students from D21 elementary schools transformed the kitchen into a high-stakes arena yesterday, March 18, to battle for the legendary title of Top Chef.

Exciting news! Two teams from The Dalles High School have qualified to compete at the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, April 21–24. They’ll join 800+ teams from around the world, representing the next generation of engineers, scientists, and mathematicians.

The Dalles High School senior Jonathan Rodriguez Mota received an exciting and unexpected honor yesterday when representatives from Oregon State University’s College of Engineering surprised him on campus with the announcement that he has been selected as a recipient of the highly competitive Engineering Catalyst Scholarship.

The Dalles, OR — March 5, 2026 — Two outstanding seniors from The Dalles High School, Everest Lenardson and Aiden Nunez, were surprised Thursday with one of the most prestigious academic honors offered by Oregon State University.

Oregon law requires all students in public and private schools, pre-schools, Head Start and certified childcare facilities have up-to-date immunizations (or an exemption) to remain in school. The date for exclusion this year is Wednesday, February 25.
