We’re happy to inform you that the 2026–2027 school year calendar was approved by the School Board at the April Board Meeting. This calendar includes important dates such as the first and last day of school, holidays, and breaks to help you plan for the year ahead.
As you review the new school calendar, you will notice early release days scheduled in September and January. These were added to support student and staff transitions at the start of the school year and after winter break.
Elementary schools have used early release the first week of school in recent years and found it helpful for easing students back into routines while giving teachers time to plan and support student needs. Based on that success, we are now using this approach across all grade levels.
