Oregon Honors the 2026 Education Support Professional of the Year, Erica Carrillo

The Oregon Department of Education and Oregon Lottery partner to recognize the incredible efforts and impact of Education Support Professionals in Oregon

(Salem, OR) – In a surprise announcement event yesterday, Oregon Department of Education (ODE) Director Dr. Charlene Williams joined Oregon Lottery leaders, North Wasco County School District Superintendent Dr. Carolyn Bernal, and The Dalles Middle School Principal Sherri Kilgore and Assistant Principal Shudhi Datta in honoring Erica Carrillo as Oregon’s 2026 Education Support Professional of the Year. Carrillo is the Bilingual Family Liaison at The Dalles Middle School.

TDHS Class of 2026 honored with wide range of scholarships

The Dalles, Ore., April 28, 2026 — Dressed in formal attire and looking ahead to life after graduation, seniors at The Dalles High School gathered Tuesday night for one of their final milestones: Scholarship Awards Night, where thousands of dollars in local support were awarded to members of the Class of 2026.
