Career and Technical Education (CTE)

What is Career Technical Education?

Career and technical education (CTE) is the practice of teaching specific career skills to students in middle school, high school, and post-secondary institutions. Courses are intended to simulate industry standards as much as possible. It is the policy of North Wasco County School District 21 that all career and technical education opportunities are available to all students, including all protected classes. The lack of English Language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in CTE programs.  Career and Technical Education classes are split into sixteen career areas that apply to different high-demand careers.
