This is notice there will be up to three public meetings of the Budget Committee of the North Wasco County School District, Wasco County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1st, 2023, to June 30th, 2024, and will be held during the month of May 2023. The public hearings and the meetings will be held in person with an option to watch live streaming. The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 2nd, at 5:30 pm, in The Dalles Middle School Commons Room. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to discuss and review the proposed budget. The second meeting is scheduled for May 9th, 2023, at 5:30 pm to complete discussion of the budget, receive comment from the public and for approval of the budget by the committee. If necessary, the third budget meeting will be on May 16th, 2023, at 5:30 pm.
The meetings will be livestreamed for viewing via the District’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/northwascoschools. The meetings will also be recorded and available via a link on the District website at: http://www.nwasco.k12.or.us no later than three business days following the meetings.
Public comment will be taken in written format. Public comments received by 4:00 pm on April 28th, and then on May 5th, will be read during the public comment section of the meeting beginning at 5:30 pm on the same date.
