💡Outside of Work

Celia NewtonI was born and raised in Colton, Oregon. I have been fortunate enough to have been in the field of education since 1992. My teaching background spans several Oregon districts—including Salem-Keizer, Bend-LaPine, and Hood River—as well as an amazing international teaching experience at the International School of La Paz in Bolivia.

Away from school, my husband, Bill, and I love to travel, camp, fish, and spend quality time with our three adult children, friends, and our two high-energy dogs, Trask and Sadie. We love summer music concerts, spending time at Black Butte Ranch, watching sports and getting outside as much as possible.

I am incredibly happy to have returned to the North Wasco County School District (where I previously taught ELD and Kindergarten from 2012–2014). This is a fantastic community of students, families, and staff, and I am proud to be a part of it once again.
