• The North Wasco County School District Board of Directors has created a Bond Oversight Advisory Committee which is a 7 member independent oversight panel established for the following purposes:

     

    • Help establish a "Strategic Execution Plan" for a construction bond proceeds resulting from the passage of a bond measure in November of 2018.

     

    • Duties once the bond is passed:

     

    ♦  The Advisory committee shall inform the public concerning the District's expenditure of bonds proceeds.  In fulfilling this duty, all official communications to either the Board or the public shall come from the Chair acting on behalf of the Advisory Committee.  The Chair shall only release information that reflects the majority of the Committee.

    ♦  The Advisory Committee shall review expenditure reports produced by the District to ensure that (a) bond proceeds were expended only for the purposes set forth in the bond measure; and (b) no bond proceeds were used for teacher or administrative salaries or other operating expenses.

     

    • The Advisory Committee shall present to the Board, in a public session, an annual written report which shall include the following: 

     

    ♦  "A statement indicating whether the District is in compliance with the "Strategic Execution Plan".

    ♦  "A summary of the Advisory Committee's proceedings and activities for the preceding year.
