Welcome to Joan Hutchinson's Home Page
I am a Special Education Teacher at the Dalles High School. This is my 5th year of teaching the Learning Assistance Program (LAP) here at TDHS. I currently teach 3 LAP periods per day. Teaching 11th and 12th grade students has been very rewarding as I watch them become self-advocates and move on into their future.
I earned my Bachelors Degree from Central Washington University in 1999, with a Double Major in Elementary Education PreK-8th grades, and Special Education K-12.
I earned my Masters of Arts in Education in 2003, from Central Washington University.
I also hold additional endorsements in Basic Math High School Level and Reading Specialist K-12
