Alumni Words of Wisdom

  •
    • Don’t be afraid to ask for help, particularly from your teachers. Once they get to know who you are they are invested in making sure you are successful!
    • Serve your community in every way you can: School, town, state, and country.
    • Be most concerned about what YOU think of yourself, and less about what others think of you!
    • If you can help someone else and it “costs” you little or nothing, do it! If it takes some time or money, do it if you can. And if it “costs” (in terms of time or money) choose carefully, but remember those things come back to you, over time, many fold.
    • Set Goals and Stay Focused
    • Dream big, take a risk and never give up!
    • Education is the key to your success along with following your dreams.
    • Remember these days and friends as you will look back at these being the best time of your life.
    • Don’t sweat the small stuff. And BTW, it’s all small stuff.
    • Dream; try to make the dream; if you succeed, great; if not, try again. Best wishes.
    • Earning ‘one’s way’ is not a bad thing!
    • Please make sure that you say “please” and “thank you”!
    • Be thankful for what you receive from others.
    • Your life will change more often than you think at a young age. Be prepared for it as much as possible.
    • Learn at least one foreign language.
    • Be true to yourself.
    • Cherish your friends.
    • Sunscreen!
    • I have learned through the years that when a person can get rid of their ego, they
    • can focus their life on living in the moment.
    • Appreciate all you have in life and love and respect your spouse.
    • Never stop dreaming.
