Mr. Way graduated from The Dalles High School in 1972, along with Mr. Kiser and Ms. Woodward! He received a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Eastern Oregon State College in 1976. In 1980, Mr. Way graduated with his Masters in Education, also from Eastern Oregon State College. Mr. Way spent four years teaching at an elementary school in Cove, Oregon; and for thirty one years he taught at elementary schools in The Dalles, both Districts 12 and 21. Mr. Way even taught Mr. Carpenter once! He has also coached Boy's Junior Varisty and Varsity Basketball, Girl's Varsity Softball as well as Elementary Football, Wrestling, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track, Softball and other various activities.
Mr. Way enjoys many outdoor activities: fishing, hunting, camping, boating, hiking, geocaching, photography, wildlife viewing, orienteering, and mountain biking. He also enjoys reading, writing, stained glass, listening to music, playing guitar and cooking. But most of all, Mr. Way really enjoys being a part of his grandchildren's lives. |
