Ms. Sullivan attended school and college in La Grande, Oregon. She knew right away at a young age that she wanted to grow up and become a teacher. Ms. Sullivan was active in high school and college civic groups, graduating college in 1971. Her teaching career began in Dallesport, WA with 37 first graders. When she married in 1973, Ms Sullivan was hired here in The Dalles where she has since remained. She has taught preschool through sixth grade at one time or another and has taught in all the Elementary Schools (including St. Mary's) except at Chenoweth Elementary School.
In Ms. Sullivan's spare time she house and pet sits for families needing a vacation. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, and together they enjoy traveling. Ms. Sullivan enjoys sewing, crafts, reading, drawing, painting and acting in Community Theater. She has a small cabin in Eastern Oregon and enjoys gardening and visiting with friends and family during the hot The Dalles' summers. She has enjoyed being in several different choirs over the years and hopes to continue singing.
