As per North Wasco County School District Board Policy JECB, JECB AR and JECB AR 2, the District reserves the right to accept or reject nonresident students based upon the availability of space, resources, personnel, appropriate programs and a postive review of educational records.
 
North Wasco County School District may consider situations such as:
  1. Students with unusual academic needs or abilities that can be met more readily by school services available in a nonresident school district;
  2.  
  3. Students living in remote areas whose school transportation can be met more conveniently and efficiently by the nonresident school district;
  4.  
  5. Students with unusual disciplinary or emotional problems who would have a greater ability to succeed in the environment of the nonresident school district;
  6.  
  7. Students whose parents move from the district during a school year; and
  8.  
  9. Students whose parents are employed within the nonresident school district.
  10.  
Transfer requests for returning or new students are not guaranteed.  All transfer requests are approved on a yearly basis, both superintendents must be in agreement and agreements are only considered if the completed Inter-District Mutual Agreement form is submitted to the *appropriate School District Superintendent's Office no later than May 1st of each year.  (If May 1st falls on a Sunday - requests may be submitted on Monday).  *Request forms must be submitted to the Superintendent's Office of the school district boundary in which a student legally resides.
 
 
Please noteOregon school districts may only transfer students within Oregon.  Inter-District Mutual Agreement request forms must be completely filled out and submitted no later than May 1st of each year.  To be considered for a transfer completed forms include the student's name, grade, age and if they are currently being served on an IEP (Individualized Education Program).

Upon approval for a one year Inter-District Mutual Agreement, transportation to and from the attending school is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
